#5: “Unstable” – Ultimate Warrior

There’s no denying that the Ultimate Warrior was one of the most popular wrestlers during this era (when he was actually wrestling that is). No matter how many times he would leave and return though, he would still receive a MONSTER pop from the first note of “Unstable.” Jim Johnston created a theme for this eccentric character that was so perfect, that it truly projected the essence of the Warrior to the fans before he even came through the curtain.

Hailing from “Parts Unknown,” this crazy kook said a lot of things that didn’t make any sense, and his promos have become “comical quotables” for marks to break out whenever they’re around fellow wrestling fans, but it wasn’t his talents (or lack thereof) on the microphone that stick with you. When all is said and done, it isn’t the man’s in-ring ability that anyone remembers either, because it was iffy at best. What you do remember the song, the energy, the popularity, the match with Hogan, and the shaking of the ropes. You remember…THE WARRIORAHHHHHHHHHH!
