PWInsider.com is reporting that the injury Daniel Bryan suffered Monday night was real and legitimate, but he shouldn’t miss any time due to it. Daniel Bryan suffered what is most commonly known as a “stinger” during his match with Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw. WWE officials backstage (such as Triple H), and the doctor that attended to Bryan after the referee signaled for him, called the match off before the finish as to not further endanger either competitor. The report of the “stinger” is a shoot, meaning it is real and not part of a storyline.

The match was set to be a catalyst for Bryan’s big summer singles push. He is rumored to be facing John Cena for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam in August. Bryan is said to have been so upset that this match ended before its finish, that upon returning to the back, he was livid and immediately began yelling at Triple H. They reportedly got into a loud, cuss-word-filled argument in the “gorilla position,” with a lot of people seeing the altercation. So many people were shocked by this, because Bryan is usually not as outspoken, especially not in the face of his boss.

Bryan complained that he’s wrestled for 13 years, hurt or not, and he knows when he can go and when he can’t. Triple H’s rebuttal was that they were protecting him, because too many superstars have been getting hurt or making injuries worse by trying to work through them. With Bryan expected to be a key player this summer, Triple H felt he needed to pull the trigger and try to save him from severe injury. Both men have reportedly apologized to each other and worked out their differences, as discussed in shoot interviews with Triple H and Bryan that WWE.com posted earlier on Tuesday.

Bryan is not expected to miss any time going forward, as he was back in action against Randy Orton during Tuesday night’s Smackdown tapings. For complete Smackdown *spoiler* results, click here.
