Former World Heavyweight Champion Christian has officially returned to active competition in the WWE. He was a “big surprise” opponent for Wade Barrett on Monday Night Raw, and instantly made an impact. Christian defeated Barrett with the “Killswitch” (or Unprettier) finish, and was received very well by the Grand Rapids, MI crowd.

As we previously reported, Christian’s WWE return had been deemed “mandatory” for WWE Creative to make happen. “Captain Charisma” was cleared to begin wrestling again after rehabbing a shoulder injury back in January before the Royal Rumble, but Creative could not find a storyline to thrust him into. Now that Christian is back in action, you can guarantee that he will be involved in one of the Money in the Bank Ladder matches, and will be trying to climb back to the top of a mountain as fast as he can.
