Details About Santino’s “Royal Rumble” Special Airing Jan. 20

A new report from WWE has revealed more details about Santino’s “Royal Rumble” special airing Jan. 20 on the WWE Network. As previously reported, the company is replacing “WWE Main Event” on that date (and possibly for good), and instead will air a Rumble lottery special featuring Santino Marella.

The special will air at 8 p.m. EST on the WWE Network. WWE.com claims that Marella will give a “unique look back at the “Royal Rumble’s” most entertaining moments. Also, superstars are expected to be picking out lottery numbers that will determine their spots in the 28 annual Royal Rumble match.

WWE.com reports,

“What does the Italian braggadocio have in store for the WWE Universe as the 28th annual Royal Rumble fast approaches on Sunday, Jan. 25, on WWE Network and pay-per-view?”

Santino’s “Royal Rumble” Lottery Spectacular will be taped before the company’s “Smackdown” tapings on Jan. 20, and air on the WWE Network at 8 p.m. EST.

I’m actually invested in this a little. I’ve been wanting to see the company use the lottery tumbler for the Rumble match, so, I’ll probably watch it. The “Royal Rumble” has always been one of my favorite events as a wrestling fan.
