This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown was taped in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will air in the US on Friday, August 30th.

Dark Match

(1) The Usos def. Drew McIntyre / Jinder Mahal of 3MB.

WWE Smackdown

– MizTV starts off the show.  Miz has The Big Show and Dolph Ziggler as his guests and the three address Triple H’s actions as of late.  They are playing up the “not afraid to speak out role.”  The Big Show, however, is afraid to speak.  Enter Triple H. He books two matches: The Miz vs. Randy Orton, and Dolph Ziggler vs. The Shield in a Handicap Match.  He also says that The Big Show must sit at the announcers’ table during the entire show. What ever happened to that “Iron Clad Contract” there Show?

(1) *WWE Champion* Randy Orton def. The Miz. After the match, The Shield attacks The Miz.  Daniel Bryan makes the save. Then we learn that Bryan will face Ryback later in the show (as if we haven’t seen this match up a lot eh?)

(2) Rob Van Dam def. Damien Sandow.  Alberto Del Rio comes out to confront Van Dam afterwards.

(3) The Shield def. Dolph Ziggler (Handicap Match).  After the match, The Shield taunts The Big Show, who is still at ringside at the announcers’ table.

– Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel cut a promo about Monday and CM Punk.

(4) The Wyatt Family def. Tons of Funk.  The Wyatts win in typical squash fashion.  Bray Wyatt comes in to finish off the two big men and then laugh.

(5) Daniel Bryan def. Ryback via DQ. Randy Orton interferes, then The Shield attacks Bryan.  The Big Show acts like he’s gonna make the save, but Triple H stares him back down. The Shield and Orton continue to beat down Bryan.  Orton then breaks out a can of spray paint and acts like he was going to paint Bryan, but then just holds up the title and stands over him.  This concludes the show.

– The Big Show comes back out to the ring to segue into our dark match, which will see the faces go over the heels to send the crowd home happy.
