It had been previously reported that Big Cass had been released from his WWE contract for a multitude of reasons.

However, one would have to assume that he would be making his way to another wrestling company at some point, or at least spend some time on the Independent scene. And that is exactly what has happened.

According to a report from Wrestling Inc., Cass will be making his independent debut on Friday, September 21 at the “Big Time Wrestling” event at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

He will be competing under the name “Big Cazz.”

Editor’s Opinion:

I’m glad to see that Cass is starting to work again. I’ve always thought he had tremendous potential, and I hope that he will be able make a great living for himself on the independent scene. On a side note, this show looks awesome! Mick Foley, James Ellsworth, Tommy Dreamer and others? I love it!
