Send them home happy. A dark match can be a hard thing to pull off. After an episode each of SmackDown Live and 205 Live, the fans are going to be a little bit worn out. You need something to make the fans want to stick around and the bigger names around make that even easier. Throwing a pair of champions into one match, especially a big time rematch, is a good idea too.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, the post show dark match after this week’s SmackDown Live saw WWE Champion AJ Styles face United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a non-title match. Styles won the match in under ten minutes with the Styles Clash. The two wrestled several times over the spring and summer with Styles winning all but one match, retaining the title every time.

Here’s what it would have looked like.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - Winner Picks Title Match Stipulation: SmackDown LIVE, May 15, 2018

Opinion: While it’s been done several times in recent months, a WrestleMania rematch is still something that is going to be a big time match for the fans who don’t get to see a live WWE show all that often. The matches tended to be rather good too so it’s not like they didn’t get to see something special. It also helps that Styles probably won’t be in WWE for very many more years, so getting to see him while you can is a great idea.

Which of these two will lose their title first? Should Nakamura have beaten Styles more? Let us know in the comments below.
