He might have to teach that now. WWE is known for its sudden releases but sometimes they come so far out of nowhere that you would never see it coming. Often times you’ll see bigger names than others being released and some of them are such major surprises that they take you by complete surprise. That’s the case with another name today with a release of someone who was on pay per view less than forty eight hours ago.

WWE.com has announced that Big Cass has been released from his contract. In a bit of a twist on the usual method, there is no mention of wishing him the best in his future endeavors. Big Cass has been with WWE since 2011 and debuted on the main roster in April 2016 along with tag team partner Enzo Amore. He returned from a torn ACL in April after being off television for eight months. His final match was a loss to Daniel Bryan this past Sunday at Money in the Bank.

Here’s how he went out.

Opinion: Well that was….sudden. Big Cass has been rumored to have heavy heat in the back due to his political statements but I’d be surprised if that was what led to his release. It’s not like he was that bad in the ring and they brought him back from injury just two and a half months ago. That sounds like him doing something else that brought this about suddenly, but there’s always the chance that it’s something like Amore where it was one moment that sent everything over the edge.

Are you surprised by Big Cass’ release? Will he be back in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
