It was previously reported that Samoa Joe sustained a recent knee injury, while competing against John Cena at a Live Event in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

According to a report from PWInsiderthe “Samoan Submissing Machine” was in Birmingham, Alabama earlier this week to have his knee injury diagnosed, and it looks like he will be out of action for 4-6 weeks.

You can see Joe’s last appearance on WWE TV here from “Raw” a couple of weeks ago:

John Cena & Roman Reigns vs. The Miz & Samoa Joe: Raw, Aug. 21, 2017

Samoa Joe was most recently seen on “Raw” teaming with The Miz, against Roman Reigns and John Cena. Prior to this, he was involved in a Fatal 4-Way match at “SummerSlam” for the Universal Championship, against Reigns, Braun Strowman and champion Brock Lesnar.

Editor’s Note:

While you never like hearing about superstars being injured, this might not be a bad time for him to be out. With Braun Strowman challenging for the Universal Championship at “No Mercy,” and the major focus around “Raw” being John Cena vs. Roman Reigns, Joe can rest, recover and re-insert himself in the title picture after these feuds have concluded.
