Surprise! One of the best feelings in wrestling is when you know for sure that something is going to happen and then it goes the other way. It takes away all the certainty you had about the match and turns it into something completely different. That makes things exciting and if the heavy favorite winds up losing, it’s even better.

WWE has released a video of six shocking upsets that you totally forgot about. As usual, the list tends to focus more on the most recent examples, which somewhat defeats the idea of things you’ve forgotten about. There are still some good instances on there though and that makes for a fun list. Here’s the video:

Opinion: I could have gone for some more examples that weren’t in the 2000s and it’s not like there aren’t a host of options to pick from. There were some surprises in there though and that’s what I’m looking for in a list like this. Why go with the same things that everyone knows about when you can dip into the archives for a bit of a surprise?
