For the second time ever. Back at “Summerslam 2016”, Finn Balor became the first Universal Title in one of the biggest upsets in recent memories. However, Balor wrecked his shoulder during the match and was forced onto the shelf for several months the next night. That meant we needed a new champion, which would be crowned on “Monday Night Raw”, August 29, 2016.

WWE has posted the full title match on their YouTube channel. The match, which was held under elimination rules, consisted of Big Cass, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a rather lengthy main event. The ending also featured a major twist which would set up a featured match at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. Here’s the full match:

FULL MATCH — WWE Universal Title Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match: Raw, Aug. 29, 2016

Opinion: The ending was the absolute right call, though I could have gone without the Triple H interference. It seemed only there to set up a match seven months later, which wasn’t the most thrilling match in the world in the first place. At least Owens won though and had a very lengthy title reign as a result, which is all you can ask for.

Did you like the way the match ended? Should Owens have won the title? Let us know in the comments below.
