WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was a surprise guest on ESPN’s “First Take” this morning, where he interrupted San Francisco 49ers Tight End, George Kittle. Kittle was discussing how his team will be in the conversation for a Super Bowl next season and after mentioning how he was a huge pro wrestling fan, the Rattlesnake made a surprise appearance:
Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and Molly Qerim Rose then took the opportunity to interview Austin. He discussed a number of topics, including his new show “Straight Up Steve Austin” and how enjoyable it was to work with Brett Favre. They then asked The Rattlesnake about the difference between the product in the 80’s and 90’s and how it is today. He said that it was a grittier product when he was in the Attitude Era, but he also said that today’s product is much more athletic and today’s performers are much better athletes compared to back in the day.
With Super Bowl LV coming this weekend, Molly asked Austin who his pick was to win the game. He ended up going with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, although he said that it was going to be a great game.
