The Big Guy is back, baby.
He has been out of action since July 13 when he suffered a staph infection prior to the WWE “Battleground” pay-per-view. Ryback was originally scheduled to defend his title against Big Show and The Miz in a Triple Threat match, but the bout had to be postponed due to his staph.
For a graphic look at his injury, click here.
He had been previously scheduled to appear during the July 27 edition of “Raw,” as well as the Aug. 11 tapings for “Smackdown,” although Ryback wasn’t on-camera for either show.
At WWE “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the match which didn’t take place at “Battleground” will finally go down, with Ryback putting his belt on the line against both Big Show and Miz.
Editor’s Note
Glad to hear Ryback is healthy enough to work television again. Staph infections are no laughing matter. Just ask CM Punk. The build is essentially complete for the Triple Threat match, so I’ll be interested to see how WWE introduces Ryback back into the fold.
