With the Divas Revolution fully underway, it seems that a new Diva might be debuting on WWE programming soon.

WWE.com is teasing the possibility of a new Diva debuting when “The Vaudevillians,” Aiden English and Simon Gotch, challenge the NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy at the “NXT: Takeover” event in Brooklyn, New York on Aug. 22.

Since English and Gotch’s  last title shot was spoiled by Alexa Bliss, there is now speculation that a new Diva will make her debut at the “NXT: Takeover” event to help even the odds.

On last Wednesday’s NXT episode, NXT General Manager William Regal told the duo that they needed to find a way to stop Bliss. WWE.com then posted the following teaser for the match:

“NXT General Manager William Regal granted the old school duo a championship rematch at the Barclays Center on Aug. 22, but suggested that English & Gotch find a way to counteract Alexa Bliss this time around. Can The Vaudevillians neutralize the ever-present threat of Alexa Bliss, or will Blake & Murphy manage to walk out of Brooklyn with the NXT Tag Team Championship? Find out at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, live on WWE Network Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT!”

There are several NXT Divas who have yet to make their television debut, including Jasmin, Gionna Daddio, and Nia Jax. That leaves English and Gotch with many potential Divas to recruit as they prepare to battle for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Editor’s Note:

The “NXT: Takeover” event in Brooklyn is shaping up to be an excellent start to “SummerSlam” weekend. I am excited about the level of women’s wrestling we have seen recently on both the main roster and in NXT, so I am looking forward to whoever is going to debut.
