Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe….. the NXT brand has found diamonds in the rough through the independent circuit and overseas, signing stars with large followings before they even hit the ring for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Two more names will soon be joining the mix, as Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports.

Pending physicals, both Biff Busick and Rich Swann will be signed to developmental contracts.

Both wrestlers are synonymous with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, having worked for the promotion for several years. In fact, Busick and Swann were both participants in the recent Battle of Los Angeles tournament this past weekend.

Swann, 24, has also competed in CZW, EVOLVE, Dragon Gate, and CHIKARA. He’s an aerial specialist, using an array of flips and dives to lay his opponents out.

Busick, 29, is a former CZW World Heavyweight Champion, with Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranking him as the No. 157 wrestler in the world back in 2014. Like Swann, Busick has also worked for Dragon Gate.

There’s no confirmed start date for either competitor at this time.

Editor’s Note

The NXT talent pool keeps getting deeper and deeper. I have more faith in Busick because of his size, but in the right role, Swann can be a star. I’m stoked to see both of them under WWE’s umbrella.
