The four finalists of WWE “Tough Enough” recently sat down with The Sporting News to talk about their experiences on the show.

Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe took the opportunity to speak about the challenges he faced in the finale, his opportunity to wrestle Cesaro, people saying that he is lazy, and more.

Below are some highlights from the interview:

The Finale:

“I knew that my entrance, my match, my promo had to be the best that they could be and that’s what I did. At that point in time, where it was, all I could do was put it in God’s hands.”

Working with Cesaro:

“To come from a level I’m at now to getting a match with Cesaro who is probably one of the best of all-time, it’s really an honor. I know it’s going to be a while before I work with him in the ring again but the plan is to do everything I can to get back here.”

People saying he’s lazy:

“As far as people telling me I’m lazy, I’m not lazy. I’m laid back. I come from a lifestyle that’s completely different from the rest of the world. A lot of people see that as lazy. It’s amazing to me because look at what I did in the ring. If I was lazy and couldn’t do anything, do you think I could have pulled off a match that incredible with Cesaro?

“There’s always room for improvement and, of course, I have to have a change in attitude because I know I have to get better. That was a two minute match and I was starting to get tired. But I’m saying that if I didn’t do nothing at all, I wouldn’t have been able to pull that off.”

Believing he did everything he could to win:

“I knew I was going to have to push my body to a level it hadn’t been before and that’s exactly what I did. It was a lot of fun, living in the barracks with 13 of the world’s best athletes and whittling them down and seeing that you’re one of the top four of the best athletes there at the time. And then seeing I’m on of the top two guys, that was awesome just by itself. At the end of the day, when I go back home, I’m going to do everything I can to be here.”

Josh Bredl and Sara Lee were the winners of this season’s “Tough Enough,” each earning $250,000 and WWE developmental contracts. Josh earned 70% of the final vote against ZZ, while Sara earned 64% of the vote against Amanda.
