While it’s merely speculation at this point, there does appear to be a trail of bread crumbs leading to a possible appearance by Batista at WWE’s “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view on Jan. 25.
During a recent edition of WWE “Superstars,” an ad for the big event played with Batista’s likeness displayed.
And while it could mean any numbers of things, Batista tweeted out the following on Sunday afternoon:
Days like today are when I know I’ve done something right in my life. #Dreamchaser

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is already in Philadelphia, with many believing that he will be a part of the show in some capacity. It’s hard to imagine WWE bringing in two blockbuster names from Hollywood for the “Royal Rumble,” but never say never.
He last competed in a WWE ring at “Payback” in 2014, losing a six-man tag team match as a member of Evolution to the team of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Batista? Could you imagine the reaction he’d get after what took place at the Rumble last year? It’s probably not going to happen, though. Would I love to see it? Absolutely.
