As the promotional war between WWE and AEW, there has to be an “all hands on deck” mentality with each talent hoping to play an instrumental part in the weekly competition. Unfortunately, some are unable to participate in these exciting times, due to injury or WWE just simply not having anything for them creatively.
Currently, Sheamus and the Usos are not active on WWE television, but for different reasons. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer provided an update on the three superstars, stating that Sheamus is still out with an injury (spinal stenosis), and WWE does not have anything currently for the Usos.
Sheamus has spinal stenosis. Not sure of a comeback date. Usos are waiting to be plugged in creatively. https://t.co/k4j1x2gZTL

The last televised match of Sheamus occurred on the SmackDown following WrestleMania, as he partnered with his former teammate of The Bar, Cesaro, along with Drew McIntyre, in a losing effort against The New Day. Since then, Cesaro has been drafted to Raw, while Sheamus became exclusive to SmackDown while sitting out injured. Cesaro has returned to SmackDown during the most recent draft, but Sheamus is now considered a free agent while injured.
The Usos’ last match occurred at the July 29, 2019 episode of Raw, in a triple threat match against Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows and The Revival. The Usos were unable to win the match, as Anderson & Gallows won the Raw Tag Team Championships from The Revival.
The past few months has been tough for the momentum of the Usos, as Jimmy Uso was arrested for a DUI while pulled over for driving recklessly in his Cadillac Escalade this past July. In fact, the police officer clock Uso doing 85 mph in a 45 mph zone.
I reached out to Jimmy regarding any more details to his status update, seeing how he has been gone for approaching four months, but did not receive a response back. It is certainly surprising that the WWE does not have anything creatively for the Usos, seeing how they are one of the best teams of the decade.
