As we previously reported, WWE announced that the WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view received around 400,000 domestic buys. Added up with the 667,000 subscribers to the WWE Network at the time, WrestleMania XXX was the most watched WWE event in the United States.

Now, according to a report by PWInsider, WWE has revealed the entire WrestleMania XXX buyrate, factoring in pay-per-view purchases internationally. The company noted that WrestleMania received 690,000 buys, meaning that about 290,000 of the buys were from abroad.

Last year, for WrestleMania 29, WWE received about 400,000 international buys. With just under 300,000 for this year, the 30th annual WrestleMania received about 100,000 less purchases overseas.

With international buys now announced, about 1,357,000 people tuned into WrestleMania XXX through the WWE Network or pay-per-view services. Last year, WrestleMania 29 received 1,039,000 buys, meaning over 300,000 more people tuned into this year’s event.

Editor’s Note

Despite the decrease in international viewership for the event, I still think that WWE should be happy with the final numbers for WrestleMania XXX. For one, more people did tune into the show than last year, assuming that all/most WWE Network subscribers watched. Additionally, the international buyrate may have decreased due to the fact that some people were still able to get the WWE Network, despite not living in the United States.
