According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, if “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is medically cleared and wants to wrestle at WrestleMania, WWE has interest in The Texas Rattlesnake returning  to in-ring action. It would be the first time that the six-time WWE Champion wrestled since WrestleMania XIX, where he lost to The Rock. While most believe he would face off against CM Punk or even John Cena in a return match, there is another option being discussed.

We previously noted that the McMahon family storyline would continue to WrestleMania XXX. Also, we reported that the current plans would have Triple H face off against a superstar wrestling on behalf of Vince McMahon for control of WWE. The option that is being discussed would throw Austin into the McMahon storyline by facing Triple H on the biggest night in wrestling. Austin recently talked about a WrestleMania XXX match. However, Austin says that he is not pursuing a return match.

Austin has made sporadic appearances since his match at WrestleMania XIX, including his last WrestleMania at WrestleMania XXVII. He was the special guest referee for the Jerry Lawler vs Michael Cole match.
