On Tuesday, May 27, WWE taped the May 30 edition of “Smackdown” in Atlanta, Ga. at the Philips Arena.
Below are the spoilers for the May 30 edition of “Smackdown:”
Beginning the show, is The Shield, who will face Evolution at “Payback” in a rematch from “Extreme Rules.” The trio cuts a promo on its opponents at the event.
1) Cesaro def. Kofi Kingston- Prior to the match, with Paul Heyman alongside him, Cesaro receives a huge-pop from the Atlanta crowd. Cesaro picks up the win in timely fashion.
2) Divas Champion Paige def. Tamina Snuka- In this non-title match, Paige gets the victory via submission. During the match, Alicia Fox appears, taunting Paige with her Divas Championship. Her plans of distracting Paige in order to have Tamina pick up the win fail.
3) Bo Dallas def. Xavier Woods- Before the bout, Bo Dallas cuts another one of his “Bo-lieve” promos. Bo makes quick work of Woods.
4) El Torito def. Jinder Mahal- El Torito is out with Los Matadores, while Mahal is accompanied by Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, and Hornswoggle. Despite not having his tail, Torito picks up the win.
It is announced that Jimmy Uso will face Bray Wyatt in a Last Man Standing match later on.
5) United States Champion Sheamus def. Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett- Before the match, Paul Heyman appears, reminding the crowd that Brock Lesnar conquered The Streak. Heyman then appears on commentary for the match. Sheamus and Barrett engage in an all-out, must-see brawl. At times, dueling chants for the two competitors echo throughout the WWE Universe. In the end, Sheamus picks up the victory in an “amazing” finishing sequence.
6) Big E def. Titus O’Neil- Big E enters with the American flag, making quick work of Titus in the match. But before the match began, Lana appears, cutting a promo on Big E and America. Her promo receives a fair-share of heat from the crowd. Both Lana and Rusev watch at ringside, as Big E obtains the victory.
7) Adam Rose def. Jack Swagger- Rose enters to one of his biggest pops in his short WWE main roster career. Rose goes on to defeat Swagger in the match, taunting his manager, Zeb Colter, some more.
8) Bray Wyatt def. Jimmy Uso in a Last Man Standing match- A good, physical match between the two. Wyatt ends up with the victory, dominating Jimmy Uso. At one point, Wyatt destroys him in front of the announce table.
