Shawn Michaels Talks Past Conflict with The Undertaker

Today, June 3, a new WrestleMania Rewind will be shown on the WWE Network. In this edition of the program, the WWE Universe will take a trip down memory lane to arguably one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25. In preparation for the airing of the show, WWE released a preview clip, in which Michaels talks about past heat with Taker.

“HBK” talked about Taker always telling him that he “always respected what I did in the ring, but he just didn’t like me.” Michaels also said that in the past, he didn’t care much for Taker either. He felt that the two had very opposite personalities, as he was outgoing, unlike Taker, who was “reserved and quiet.” “Mr. WrestleMania” also said that he never let himself be intimidated by Taker’s gimmick.

In the clip, Michaels also talked about how Vince McMahon always had to balance the relationship, as it was a love-hate kind of thing where, “Taker put up with me.” Despite all that, Michaels said that the two always put up phenomenal work when in the ring together.
