As we previously reported, “The Animal” Batista will be returning to WWE for a special live event in Las Vegas. The premature report of his return from the venue’s website led the WWE to announce his return on the Dec. 23 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” There, it was announced that Batista will return on the Jan. 20 edition of the program, the final edition of RAW before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

According to F4WOnline, Batista’s return to the company will not be a one-time deal that culminates at WrestleMania. Instead, the idea is that his return will be a “last-run” for the two-time WWE Champion that may last for two years. Although, during his deal, it is expected that he will take time off for his upcoming film, “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

The website’s report also states that his return to WWE programming on the Jan. 20 edition of “Monday Night Raw” will not feature his in-ring return. It is expected that his first match back with the company will be during the 30-man Royal Rumble match for 2014.
