The September 20 edition of WWE Smackdown is being taped on Tuesday the 17 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Here are the spoilers for the show:

The show begins with a recap of Night of Champions and the Monday Night Raw that followed it. Vickie Guerrero is in the ring to open, but is greeted with a chorus of boos. As General Manager, she says she needs to make the show more thrilling along with the best ever. She announces that she’s here to introduce someone, and that someone is none other than Daniel Bryan. Bryan begins to speak saying that he would much be champion for one day rather than be a corporate sellout. Vickie says she is his boss and gives Bryan the opportunity to come clean. Bryan states that they both know he did nothing wrong. Vickie demands the truth, and Bryan asks if she wants the truth then gives it to her. He says that the truth is that he kneed Orton in the face and that Scott Armstrong could have counted to 20. He says he should still be WWE Champion. Vickie says that she could have fired Bryan and that she hopes he never becomes the face of WWE. She goes on to state that Bryan deserves to be beaten up by The Shield, and then shows the crowd photos of all the superstars who helped Bryan on RAW. She goes on to announce that those ten superstars and Bryan will take on The Shield in an eleven on three gauntlet match. One man will face all three members of The Shield at once until that person is defeated. Vickie then state that she is saving Bryan for last and ends the segment by laughing.

It is announced that Ryback will be in action later tonight.

Heyman goes on to claim that CM Punk wasn’t a hero at Night of Champions, and that it’s a fact that he was the winner. Heyman then compliments his hero, Ryback, saying he could not have done it without him. Ryback says Paul is gracious and doesn’t deserved to be bullied by Punk. Ryback reiterates that he hates bullies, and goes on to say that Nick is a bully that is trying to intimidate little kids. Ryback ends up squashing the man and gaining a victory in under two minutes.

Randy Orton is out next. He accuses both Daniel Bryan and Scott Armstrong of working together to steal the WWE Championship from him at Night of Champions. He then takes the blame for his attitude over the last two years. He goes on to say that he had thought the company wanted him to be like John Cena. Orton says he locked away the viper because he thought that’s was what WWE wanted. Those times are up as Orton says he went back to the viper and did so by making an example out of The Miz. His attack from RAW is then shown, and Orton sates that the video should be a warning to anyone that tries to get in his path. He says at WWE Battleground that he will become champion once again and end the war between himself and Daniel Bryan. He ends his promo by stating that he will once again become his own WWE Champion.

Young’s tag team partner Titus O’Neil is the next combatant. Titus fights off The Shield at first, but is eventually beaten down and pinned.

Rob Van Dam is the next challenger as Reigns is still down after taking a Trouble in Paradise. Van Dam takes on both Rollins and Ambrose to start, and is able to pull off a double Rolling Thunder on the two. He then goes up for a Five Star Frogsplash, but Triple H’s music interrupts him. The WWE COO comes out and calls the match off. At ringside, he argues with Vickie Guerrero as Triple H ends up sending everyone back to the locker room. It appears the match ends in a no contest.

A backstage segment with Triple H and General Manager Vickie Guerrero is next. Triple H scolds Vickie, as she retorts by saying the gauntlet match was best for business. Triple H orders her to make a six-man tag match, Daniel Bryan and The Usos vs. The Shield.

The other Uso then jumps on the three and only Bryan and Ambrose remain. Bryan locks in his Yes Lock, but Ambrose gets to the ropes. However, Bryan hits a knee to the face on Ambrose for the win. Randy Orton then comes out and attacks Bryan, but Bryan gets the upper hand and sends Orton to the back to close the show.
