Last month, Bray Wyatt won his first ever singles title with WWE, as he became the champion of the SmackDown brand inside the Elimination Chamber. Also, he’s about to go into this year’s WrestleMania as one of the company’s two world champions, as opposed to last year, where he didn’t even have a match on the card. But, despite all of that, one WWE legend is still concerned about Bray’s future.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts explained why he’s still concerned about Bray Wyatt, even though he’s the top guy on SmackDown.

“They’ve really hurt his character in the last year. They’ve really watered it down.

“It’s great that Bray is champion, but my worry is that they’re pulling him away from his character. The people were chanting, ‘You deserve it!’ to him on Smackdown after he won the title. Is that a chant for a heel? Hell no, but that’s just the nature of the business these days.”

Bray Wyatt returns from Elimination Chamber as the WWE Champion: SmackDown LIVE, Feb. 14, 2017
