We’ve been hearing about the rumored Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight for quite some time now, but we still don’t have an answer to two of the following questions: will it actually happen? And, if it does, when will happen? Most are assuming that the answer to the first question is yes, simply because there’s so much money to be made by doing the fight, however, the second question isn’t quite as simple.

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the rumored fight between Mayweather and McGregor, and when it might go down.

“Mayweather Promotions was gonna ask at the commission meeting this week for an August 26 date, but they may have already withdrawn that, I’m not sure. That date would make sense for the Mayweather and McGregor fight, but it’s really all up in the air. There’s speculation going around, but it just feels like nobody really knows exactly what they’re doing. They better figure it out because they don’t have much time left.”
