I wonder if he’s related to Awesome. Impact Wrestling has brought in a host of fresh talent as of late with a lot of new names appearing on the show. One such name is Kongo Kong, who has squashed everyone around him, some literally, since debuting earlier this year. One other wrestler influenced his career and Kong explained the story in a recent interview.

Kong appeared on “The Roman Show” and discussed the advice given to him by the former WWE giant Rosey. According to Kong, Rosey gave him some advice on how to work for Vince McMahon should the chance ever arise. While Kong has never worked for WWE, Rosey suggested the following:

“I was told one time by Rosey, he said if you get a job with (WWE Chairman) Vince McMahon, he’ll ask you to stay on the ground and be a big man and fight like a big man and not do this flying crap. I don’t know what his angle was when he told me that but I said ‘with all due respect I don’t work for Vince, but when I do I’ll do what he tells me too, but in the mean time I need to separate myself’.”

Opinion: Kong hasn’t exactly impressed me all that much since he debuted in Impact Wrestling. He’s a rather generic monster character and has a horrible look. The company sees something in him though and maybe he can turn my opinion around in the future. The flying stuff is eye catching but it’s become something more common and not as interesting anymore.

Do you like Kong’s work so far? What do you see him doing in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
