On this past Tuesday’s SmackDown, Randy Orton said that he’s not going to fight Bray Wyatt for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 33, despite him being the number one contender. So, as a result, Daniel Bryan announced that there will be a number one contender’s battle royal on next week’s show, where the winner will challenge Bray at WrestleMania.
According to Cageside Seats, WWE is strongly considering making the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 33 a triple threat match between Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Luke Harper, which means that Luke will probably win next week’s battle royal.
If WWE actually decides to have Luke win the battle royal next week, then the storyline could be that Orton re-joins the title match, where he’ll help Bray fight off the former Wyatt Family member, and once he’s out of the picture, Orton will turn on Bray in the match and win the title, thus ending the Apex Predator’s tenure in the Wyatt Family.
