Dean Ambrose captured the Intercontinental Championship on this past week’s SmackDown, and he’ll likely defend it in a rematch against the former champion — The Miz — at some point in the next couple of weeks. But, will he defend the title at WrestleMania 33? That remains to be seen, but the answer to that question, at least according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, is no.
On Wednesday’s Figure Four Daily with UFC veteran “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, Alvarez said that WWE could be planning a Dean Ambrose and Renee Young vs. The Miz and Maryse mixed tag team match, and that the match will take place at WrestleMania 33.
“My prediction for WrestleMania is: it’s going to be Miz and Maryse against Dean and Renee in a mixed tag.”
WWE has inserted Renee Young in the Miz vs. Ambrose feud, so it’s very possible that they’re building towards a mixed tag that’ll take place on April 2. If the match does happen, it’ll be Renee’s in-ring debut.

Other possible WrestleMania matches for Dean Ambrose include a one on one match with SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon, and an Intercontinental Championship defense against Dolph Ziggler.
