After being in the pro wrestling business for nearly two decades, AJ Styles finally signed with WWE in January of last year, and he’s consistently been the best guy on the entire roster since.

Shortly after news broke that Styles was coming to WWE, it was reported that the company was also going to bring in his Bullet Club buddies, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. In a recent interview with former WWE ring announcer Lillian Garcia, Styles explained how the trio ended up getting signed, and whether or not he helped get Gallows and Anderson their WWE deals.

“[WWE] were like, well we’re just interested in you right now. I’m like, um OK. That same week they go, no, we want all of you. So it was like, yes! I didn’t want to pull them away and then get their hopes up and then oh, sorry guys, just kidding. So I’m so glad that they got to come with me and it made a huge difference.”
