You had to know this was coming. A few weeks back, Kevin Owens turned on his best friend Chris Jericho during the Festival of Friendship. Jericho went away for a few weeks before reappearing at “Fastlane 2017” to cost Owens the Universal Title in a match against Goldberg. I think you know where this is going.

Tonight on “Monday Night Raw”, Jericho opened the show and called out Owens. After some back and forth, Owens said he didn’t care about getting his Universal Title back right now because he wants to take the United States Title away from Jericho. That was fine with Jericho who immediately agreed to the match, which will take place at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”.

Opinion: Well duh. You could probably have penciled this match in back in October and they’ve got a hot story to go with it. Jericho is on a level that he hasn’t reached in at least ten years at this point and Owens is back to being his evil self. I still wish this was for the World Title but at least we’re getting one heck of a US Title match and that works just fine for me.
