Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. One of the more interesting things about any given pay per view are its better odds. WWE pay per views often are open for sports betting and more often than not, the heavy favorites dominate the show. That wasn’t the case with “Fastlane 2017” though and there’s a pretty simple reason why.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, last night’s pay per view saw a staggering three favorites lose, including Charlotte, Nia Jax and Braun Strowman all suffer defeat. This was a rare occurrence because the “smart money” usually comes in on the real favorites. For some reason this didn’t happen at “Fastlane 2017” and the favorites lost as a result. You can see the full results here.

Opinion: This is a weird story as there’s no real reason for the money to not come in. It should be interesting to see if this is the case going forward as the money coming in can often take away a lot of the intrigue of a show. The smart money is almost never wrong and can mess with the interest in the end of a match. At least it was a surprise for one night.
