This is way overdue. With the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 starting to come into focus, one of the big questions is who will wind up inducting most of the names. Today we can check one of the names off as WWE has announced the latest inductee as well as the name who will be inducting him.

According to WWE.com, Ravishing Rick Rude will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. In addition to the announcement, WWE also revealed that Ricky Steamboat will induct Rude. Steamboat and Rude feuded in WCW in 1992, including an Iron Man match at “Beach Blast 1992”. The induction ceremony will take place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on March 31. Rude joins Diamond Dallas Page, Kurt Angle, Beth Phoenix and the Rock N Roll Express in the Class of 2017.

Opinion: This is long overdue as Rude was one of the best midcard heels of his era. Rude went from a comedy goon in the WWF to a heavy hitting machine in WCW. He lead the Dangerous Alliance in their outstanding war against Sting and went on to win the WCW International World Heavyweight Title in 1993.
