Recently, it was revealed that the standard schedule for Wrestlemania weekend is being changed starting next year in Orlando for Wrestlemania 33. Starting next year, WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony will be featured on Friday night and NXT will be on Saturday.

Many people thought the changes were based on making the weekend more smooth. Having wrestling on back to back nights rather than being broken up by the long ceremony made more sense, but the changes were made for more technical reasons.

According to another report from RingSideNews.com, the reason why WWE made the decision to switch the events around is because they’ll be using the same arena for NXT Takeover. Simply put, it’s just easier not to have to keep setting up all weekend.

In previous years, NXT Takeover would be in a different arena. In order to follow the old schedule, WWE’s crew would have to set up the arena for a live show on Friday, then take it down for the Hall of Fame, and then set up the arena again for Raw.

Frankly, that’s a lot of work when all WWE has to do is switch the two events earlier in the weekend. Not to mention, the WWE Superstars and company won’t have to sit for long hours the night before the biggest show the year, which is a plus.
