It is hard to believe, but there isn’t much more time between now and “The Road to Wrestlemania.” Yes, logistically Wrestlemania 33 is still six months away, but the end of the year always flies by quickly.
Before anyone knows what hit them, it’ll be time for the “Royal Rumble” match. From the perspective of WWE officials, the time to prepare and start planning for Wrestlemania is right now.
Of course, it’s a little weird because matches need to be set up six months in advance, and plans can always change. Last year, WWE was planning John Cena vs. The Undertaker for before plans changed for Mania.
But, there’s the answer for Wrestlemania 33. According to a report from CageSideSeats, WWE is looking to make John Cena the focus of next year’s event in Orlando one way or another.
Apparently, there are two plans in place for Cena. The anticipated match with The Undertaker will finally become a reality, or Cena will tie Ric Flair’s record of sixteen World titles on the grandest stage of them all.
Frankly, John Cena vs. The Undertaker is much more interesting and Cena breaking the record seems like much more of a Wrestlemania moment than simply tying the record despite that being significant as well.
Which match do you want to see more for John Cena at Wrestlemania 33 next year?
