Kevin Owens has only been with WWE for a little over three years, but he’s made quite the impact on WWE television. With the exception of the WWE Championship, he’s held every singles title WWE has to win. He has been featured as a top heel on both Raw and SmackDown Live and there’s no telling what he can accomplish in the next five years.

Recently, Owens signed an extension with the company. WWE officials gave him a raise and business class travel to sweeten the deal. There’s no questioning the powers that be value him as a top performer. However, Vince McMahon is said to be unhappy with him for one specific reason.

According to a report from DirtySheets, The Boss is frustrated with Owens’ weight. It’s being said that Vince McMahon has told Kevin Owens to “lose the weight, or lose your spot.” Obviously, Owens wouldn’t reach jobber status. However, it’s unlikely he would be given chances to win the WWE Championship or become the Universal Champion.

On paper, it seems unfair to demand this of Owens after already becoming a main event player. He was the WWE Universal Champion for nearly seven months and the WWE Universe accepted him in that role. Why would McMahon threaten one of his top guys?

Time and time again KO proves that no one else can host The Kevin Owens Show:

Kevin Owens starts his career as a social media producer

The best thing about Kevin Owens is that he doesn’t fit the mold of a “WWE Superstar” and offers something different. Honestly, how would Owens losing weight improve his character or performances? He’d be doing the exact same thing and he’s proven that he can have a great match with anyone on WWE’s roster over the past three years. If Vince actually feels the need to threaten his spot over his weight, there must be a good reason.

Do you believe Kevin Owens needs to lose weight?
