On paper, The Celtic Warrior may be one of the most underrated WWE Superstars of all time. Some people might roll their eyes at that idea, but Sheamus has a resume that can rival almost anyone in WWE history. He has one every WWE Championship available to him on the main roster with the sole exception of the WWE Universal Championship.
Sheamus has won the Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, and Money in the Bank. The only major accolade he’s missing is the main event of WrestleMania, but you could say that about a lot of WWE Superstars. With everything he’s accomplished in twelve years, you start to wonder if there’s anything left for The Celtic Warrior to do with the company.

During a recent interview with the Telegraph Herald, Sheamus said the following about his future with WWE and what is left for him to accomplish with the company:
“I really don’t think about it (past accomplishments) to be honest. I’m always looking for the next challenge or looking for the next thing. Maybe when I’m retired in 30 years I can look back, but I’m looking for the next thing to achieve now. I still have a long way to go in this career.”
Awhile back, there was some speculation about him dealing with serious neck issues that could end his wrestling career. Apparently, that’s a big reason why Sheamus has been working with Cesaro in the tag team division for so long. WWE officials are trying to protect his neck, so working in a tag team means he does not have to bump as much.
Moving forward, it’s a huge testament to The Celtic Warrior that he’s capable of working in the tag team division to help the company in new ways. If you think about, most fans haven’t criticized Sheamus for getting stale like they have with Ronda Orton or someone like John Cena over the years. At the moment, it doesn’t seem like he’s close to the end of his career either.
Do you believe Sheamus is an underappreciated performer?
