Rumor: Randy Orton Could Be Released By WWE

Today has been really crazy with all the releases of different superstars from WWE. It’s a crazy day, and a lot of people are walking on egg shells. Needless to say, a lot of rumors are getting started.

However unlikely and improbable this rumor is, there has been a rumor going around today about the possibility of Randy Orton getting released by WWE along with King Barrett, Damien Sandow, and others.

Several sources, including DailyWrestlingNews.com, have reported that the rumor started for two reasons. The first being that Rob Feinstein of RF Video noted on his Facebook that WWE you be releasing a “really big” top star today during the roster cuts.

Simultaneously, several fans claimed that Randy Orton’s profile on WWE.com was inactive for a lot of today, and that got a lot of people to spread the rumor that he was being released.

However, the rumor has been updated, and Orton’s profile on WWE.com is back to normal. As of this writing, no credible sources have confirmed that The Viper has been released from the company, but it’s still very much up in the air at the moment.

It’s extremely unlikely that Orton would be released from the company unless his shoulder is in such a bad condition that it forced him to void his contract.

It was just reported yesterday that Randy’s recovery from shoulder surgery is going slower than expected. If anything else drops on this story, we’ll share the information. Just remember that it’s a crazy day and rumors like these may simply be created out of thin air without any truth to them.
