Randy Orton’s Recover Going Slower Than Expected, May Have to Miss Summerslam

Randy Orton has been a ghost in WWE since last October. When he went down with a shoulder injury amidst a feud with The Wyatt Family.

The projection was that The Viper had a real shock of being back before Wrestlemania 32, but he’d be back before “Money in the Bank” in June. However, now it’s looking like he may even miss “Summerslam.”

According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, Orton’s rehab for his shoulder is going much slower than initially expected, but he is recovering.

The last we heard from Orton himself was during Wrestlemania weekend when he revealed that he was still two or three months away from returning to the ring.

The word surrounding The Apex Predator now is that he’ll begin training to return to the ring in mid-June, which may force him to miss Summerslam if there are any more setbacks.

The WWE roster has changed so much during Orton’s absence from the ring. There are many new opponents for him to get into the ring with and several new feuds for him when he returns.

WWE programming can always use another veteran like Randy Orton, who can slide into any title picture or feud with anyone and produce great matches. The product has definitely missed him, and it’ll be good to have him back because he’ll be fresh again after so much time away.
