RUMOR: Here’s Why FOX Executives Want to Push Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live

The WWE Universe knew there would be some changes once the company was under the FOX banner. A lot of people believed that change would be a great thing for WWE’s lackluster television, but moving to FOX doesn’t mean that  everything has to change.

According to a report from talkSport on Sunday, Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda claims that WWE officials are planning big things for Daniel Bryan once SmackDown Live goes to FOX. Colohue said that Eric Bischoff and FOX executives are huge fans of Bryan’s “The Planet’s Champion” gimmick and FOX encouraged WWE officials to push him.

It was unclear if Erick Rowan was also praised for his work alongside Bryan. More than likely, FOX will be willing to let Bryan do his thing if he’s giving them the gimmick they want to see. If WWE officials are planning to keep Daniel Bryan as a heel, it’s going to be interesting to see how they use him, especially with Eric Bischoff on the bandwagon.

There’s been some speculation that Daniel Bryan will regain the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston. If Randy Orton wins the WWE Title at SummerSlam, it’s clear that WWE officials went in a different direction. However, Bryan could do a lot more with the WWE Title if he’s given another run. There are some fun possibilities to think about.

Kevin Owens’ star is on the rise on SmackDown Live right now. In a couple of months, a feud between Bryan and Owens for the WWE Championship could be great. Finn Balor will be back in a few months. That would be another great feud. Roman Reigns, Aleister Black and other are all possibilities if Bryan gets another title run in the near future.
