Roman Reigns has a chance to earn a spot in the WWE Universal title match at “Clash of Champions” later this month. All he has to do is defeat Kevin Owens on Raw next week in a non-title match.
Although adding Reigns to match is both a good idea and a bad idea at the same time, it seems that WWE has something else planned for him going into “Clash of Champions.”
According to a report from Sportskeeda.com, Roman Reigns won’t be continuing his feud with Rusev until after “Clash of Champions” if it happens at all. Rusev is advertised for a dark match on Raw, but he’s still on his honeymoon, so it’s very unlikely that he’ll be in Baltimore this Monday night.
The latter turns out to be true, the expectation is that Chris Jericho will get involved in the match between Owens and Reigns on Raw, which will create a feud between Reigns and Y2J for “Clash of Champions.”
We’ve seen Jericho vs. Reigns before in the ring, but it’s still a fresh feud and Jericho would most likely be putting over Roman until Rusev returns, the title picture opens up, or something else comes along.
