Let’s simplify this, WWE fans like Bayley. Bayley is awesome, so when the WWE Universe is chanting “boring” during her segment, you’re doing something wrong.
I get it. WWE needed to emphasize that Bayley’s shoulder isn’t one hundred percent after last week. Yes, it’s a wrestling show, but is arm wrestling the best way to get the next No. 1 contender to the WWE Women’s Championship over for “Hell in a Cell?”
The outcome of Bayley vs. Dana Brooke has two storylines options. Brooke wins to get some momentum for the upcoming feud with Charlotte. The problem there is that may hurt Bayley because Dana hasn’t looked great over the past few weeks. It’s a risk.
The far more likely outcome is a win for Bayley, which doesn’t help Brooke going into a feud with Charlotte. However, someone has to lose. Not only that, but Banks vs. Bayley is the better feud heading into the end of the year.
Sasha and Charlotte are going to have the first ever women’s “Hell in a Cell” match, which may be the main event of the PPV. That’s historic on two levels, so I’ll ask again.
How does Bayley go from arm wrestling segments and “okay” matches to being able to hang with Banks or Charlotte after “Hell in a Cell?” There is bad booking and then there is “bad” booking.
What do you think about the Bayley vs. Dana Brooke feud heading into “Hell in a Cell?”
