Raw Reaction: Braun Strowman vs. Sami Zayn Will Be Great For Both Men

Braun Strowman has been demanding “stronger competition” from Mick Foley for a few weeks now, but Sami Zayn answered the challenge tonight. When asked why he’d dare to fight someone like Strowman, he replied, “Because no one else will.”

Sami Zayn hasn’t done much over the past few months and he’s been stuck floating around the midcard. Obviously, WWE saw two men who didn’t have anything to do and decided to let them feud. However, this is a feud that will benefit both men in the end.

This feud is simple. Braun Strowman is a heel. Sami Zayn is a face. Braun is big. Sami is small. Strowman has strength and brutality. Zayn has determination and heart.

It didn’t take long for the WWE crowd in Denver to get behind Sami Zayn during his initial confrontation with Strowman. Sami confronted Braun and in so many words told him, “You’ve been pushing guys around for months now. Try to push me.”

Naturally, Strowman pushed Zayn out of the ring like he was nothing, but now we’ve got a fight. Strowman vs. Zayn is designed to continue showing the former’s strength while giving him a big win over a veteran.

Meanwhile, Zayn will display his heart and get sympathy from the WWE Universe. Both men get something out of the feud and can move on a little bit better for it. That’s smart booking, which is funny to find in the midcard of Raw lately.
