Emma is one of the most underutilized performers WWE has under their umbrella, but she’s been on the shelf or kept on the shelf since May. She went down with a back injury shortly after Wrestlemania 32, but it seems her return to WWE television is imminent.

Her transformation from Emma into Emmalina was shown in a vignette on Raw two weeks ago. The fact that it showed up on Raw is an indication that she’d headed to Raw, right? Well, her return to the ring over the weekend proved WWE doesn’t know yet.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, she returned to action in a six man tag team match during Saturday’s house show in Phoenix. She teamed and won the match with Nikki Bella and Naomi over the team of Carmella, Natalya, and Alexa Bliss.

There is no indication when Emma will be returning and “Emmalina” will be debuting, but that tag team match over the weekend featured all SmackDown talent, so it’s still unclear where she’s going to end up when she does return to WWE programming.

If she returns to Raw, it’ll most likely be after Raw’s “Hell in a Cell” PPV at the end of the month. Based on the vignette, you’d think that WWE is trying to turn Emma into a face. However, we need to see more of the character before we know for sure.
