At least we know who’s next. Goldberg appeared on “Monday Night Raw” to answer Paul Heyman’s challenge for a match against Brock Lesnar and, after soaking up a lot of cheers, talked about wanting to be a hero for kids around the world again. He thought he had one more spear and Jackhammer in him so Lesnar is next as well as last. No date was given for the match.

This comes on the heels of Heyman challenging Goldberg to a match anywhere anytime on last week’s show. Goldberg defeated Lesnar in their infamous showdown at “Wrestlemania XX” back in 2004 when both men were leaving the company, resulting in neither of them exactly trying. Goldberg’s return is tied in with him being featured in the recently released “WWE2K17” video game.

This announcement exactly a surprise and that’s not a bad thing. With the three “Monday Night Raw” vs. “Smackdown Live” Survivor Series matches already on the card, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar as the big featured main event is a perfect compliment to the show. It’s a simple idea: take two big, strong guys and have them beat on each other for about fifteen minutes. Everyone wins. Well, except for the one that loses that is.
