At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II, Samoa Joe lost the NXT Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura. It was the first step in Joe’s goodbye to NXT. Betting odds say he’ll be on the main roster by the end of 2016.

His last match in NXT is expected to be against Nakamura at NXT Takeover: Toronto in November, which will also serve as his rematch. After that, it would be shocking if he wasn’t headed to Raw or SmackDown.

According to a report from Four3Four.com, Joe’s debut on the main roster is essentially a guarantee before the end of the year, but what does WWE have planned for his first feud.

The idea is that Samoa Joe would debut and immediately be put into a feud with Brock Lesnar, which could make him a huge star if he can hang with Brock or even be the one to beat the one in twenty-one and one.

The other idea is for WWE to book him in a feud with John Cena on SmackDown, which is a dream match wrestling fans have been dying to see for over a decade. Frankly, it’s the much more interesting option.
