After the abuse that Mick Foley has endured over the course of his wrestling career, it’s not going to surprise anyone to learn that he’s dealing with some lingering injuries and health issues. One of them is The Hardcore Legend dealing with some memory issues.
According to a report from RingSideNews, Mick Foley has some trouble remembering a promo script whenever he makes appearances on WWE TV. Obviously, age should be taken into account but he said himself that the days of him “handling” a promo are largely over, but that’s the WWE’s style of promo work and the process is challenging.

Obviously, Foley can still bring a ton of value to WWE programming. He put over Bray Wyatt’s “Fiend” character during Raw Reunion and put over Wyatt using the Mandible Claw finishing move. That’s a heck of a stamp of approval from the WWE Hall of Famer.
Recently, Mick Foley gave another stamp of approval when he introduced the 24/7 Title to the WWE Universe a few months back. The WWE Universe mocked the title’s look at the time, but Drake Maverick and R-Truth have turned the title into something very fun.
Mick Foley can still bring a lot of value to a show. He has the WWE Universe’s loyalty for life after the risks and bumps he took throughout his career. His segment with Wyatt is yet another example of him putting over talent. It adds a great to deal to Foley’s legacy that he’s the one to put over and help elevate some of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
