After some time off from WWE television, Kurt Angle made his return to Monday Night Raw two weeks ago to qualify for the World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel. Last week, The Olympic Hero officially returned to Raw and won a battle of wits with Baron Corbin to rekindle their rivalry. Over the coming weeks, that feud is expected to pick up steam.
It’s clear as day that WWE officials are starting to move Kurt away from a non-wrestling role and he should be wrestling far more often. For Crown Jewel, he will be featured in at least one or two singles matches. Angle has been developing trust with WWE officials for the past two years so he can be in a position to work and choose his own opponents.

According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, Kurt Angle revealed during a recent Q & A session that Aleister Black and Velveteen Dream are two performers he has an eye on from NXT. Angle was clear that he would like the opportunity to get in the ring with the two performers if the chance ever presents itself as both men jump to the main roster.
The Velveteen Dream is a 22-year-old prodigy who has earned a lot of praise from WWE Superstars very quickly. As Kurt Angle transitions into a more active role, a match with someone like Dream would be a great thing. During his full-time career, Kurt never had the reputation as a veteran who abused his star power and didn’t put over young talent.
For someone like Aleister Black, there could be a great feud between himself and Angle if the two men cross paths. There are numerous performers who would love the chance to step into the ring with The Olympic Hero. Hopefully, the WWE Universe will have the chance to see some of these dream matches before Angle hangs up the boots for good.
