So much for that…maybe? Most wrestling fans want to see some competition for WWE. There are independent wrestling promotions that stay in the same area, but what about a national promotion? Fans have been wanting a new one for a long time now and a recent report suggests that Jim Ross and Chris Jericho might be looking to start one. However, that seems to be news to one of those two.

Jericho has posted a response to the report on Twitter, saying that he has no idea what’s going on and listing a variety of things he might be doing as well. It should be noted that Jericho has a history of making similar claims and then doing the same things that he made to seem were impossible in the first place. Ross has yet to comment and AXS TV, the network that would carry the show, has denied the claims.

Jericho is certainly thinking outside the box as of late.

All In Chris Jericho Attacks Kenny Omega

Opinion: Here’s the thing: would you really put it past Jericho to start a carwash with Bono, a movie studio with Lady Gaga or a baksshop? I have no idea if this is something serious or realistic or not but it’s the kind of story that is going to get people talking. That being said, another promotion doesn’t really need to happen. WWE would win in the long run and it wouldn’t do anyone any good. Just stick with the indies being their own thing and things will be better, like they’re getting now.
