Cameras rolling. If there’s one thing WWE does, it’s produce a lot of content. It could be wrestling, it could be interviews or it could be a documentary, but they’re always filming something. That’s the case with this week’s SmackDown 1000, where Batista made a long awaited return to WWE. As you might have guessed, WWE’s cameras were rolling way before Batista got to the arena.

Welcome home big Animal.

Follow Batista on his journey to SmackDown 1000: WWE Day Of

WWE has posted a new mini documentary looking at Batista’s journey to SmackDown 1000. The video features Batista backstage at the show as well as the day leading up to the event itself. The show took place in Batista’s hometown of Washington DC but he had to fly in, meaning the flight and meetings he had earlier in the day are included as well. On the show, Batista was part of an Evolution reunion and may have set up a future match with Triple H.

Opinion: I know WWE does a lot of these things, but they do them very, very well. WWE knows where to point the camera and tell a good story, even with something like this where it’s just showing someone going to a wrestling show. This is hardly riveting stuff but WWE knows how to make it seem interesting. Batista returning for the Evolution reunion was cool and they did a good job of showing that off.
